I've read lots of posts on this forum before my wife and I headed to Bali last week. We've never posted anything before and right now we are in the cyber cafe of the Prada in Ubud, Bali. We read on the forum about this small hotel called Bunga Permai and decided to give it a go. Boy! What a great hotel! We're spending $35.00 a night for this magnificent room with a veranda overlooking the pool and the most beautiful view I have ever seen. Being older and retired, I tend to rise early in the morning. My reward is to witness the most colorful and ever-changing sunrises I have ever seen with my own eyes, pictures not counting. There are two volcanos always in view and the landscape before them is this deep river gorge where the people have carved out all these terraces to farm their rice. I have to pinch myself to believe it is all true enough. Gloria and I live in Florida, USA and while we love it there, we've never seen anything like this! This fellow, Mr. Made, but pronounced like Mr. Maaa Day found this place for us and we can't thank him enough. We have his business card and he has an address of indah1@hotmail.com. For this kind of money in Florida, you're lucky to have clean sheets! Gloria and I are staying put here a while. If you're coming to Bali, you might consider looking this place up. We're no experts, but we sure know a great deal when we find one. Oh, and Gloria asked me to be sure to say the food is good too. She's right, it is good.
