I was in Yogjakarata in August and stayed at the Melia downtown for USD 28!!!!!!!! incl. huge buffet Bfast. (After much negotiation)This was the price reserved for Indonesian nationals. We went out to Borobudur and saw the Amanjiwo from the temple. It certainly looks great, but I'm sure is very expensive. We tried to negotiate a price at the Aman in Ubud to no avail -NO DISCOUNTS. If you arrive at the airport go to the second desk for hotels, not the first as you come out of baggage claim- it is the chamber of commerce desk, not the more expensive private one.
