we will be in Bali the first three weeks in November. We are not serious hardbodies )50-ish desk drivers, to be honest), but do love to ride out bikes. we own very lightweight travel bikes that collapse into suitcases and are debating whether to take them. they are easier to transport than most bikes, but still much more than a backpack. What little info I have seen suggests that area-to-area biking is on winding roads with wild traffic and heavy-duty motorbike fumes. doesn't sound like our thing. However, if we plop in Ubud area for a weeks or so, spend a few days around Lovina, spend a few days at Jimbaron, etc., we'd like two wheels. are decent bikes available for rent? do they have smaller sizes (i'm 5 feet)? are there helmets or should we bring our own even if we do not bring the bikes? are there backroads that are quieter and safer than the main roads? we have ridden in several countries and always enjoyed it, but our limited exposure to asia makes us hesitatnt. What to you think? are we mistaken to be put off by area-to-area tiding? whatever thoughts you have re riding conditions and rentals would be great. Thank you so much. Sue
