A hint about the 5 included "Gray Line" tours: take any of the three full day tours your first day. My bet is, you won't take any more. Bali is fantastic, but the tours pick you up at 8am and return you to your hotel at about8pm. You see maximum 5 "attractions" at about 1/2 hour each- that's 2.5 hours seeing "attractions" and 9.5 hours peering out the windows of a beautiful, air-conditioned bus. Not my favorite way to enjoy Bali.
I'd recommend taking the first tour as an "orientation" (and getting used to the 32'C/98%humidity) and then spend $35 to hire a driver to show you around.
