stuff I forgot to say before.
I noticed a lot of people with ankle foot problems (tourists that is0
some on crutches or with bandaged feet, mostly women and not old.
So beware of the pavements as there are lots of holes and ditches that are not visible in the dark, and it is very busy.
take aussie cash and leave in hotel safe
if you take your atm card the exchange rate is good about 6250 to the $aus but they hit you for a $4 fee everytime . so maybe only use sometimes.
Hawkers
while most of the time you can ward them off with a 'no thanks'
we found the hawkers at the volcano to be very agressive, we had to walk up a corridor of the them to get to the restraunt, and one followed us on the bus.
also when you go to the monkey forest you will be escorted by young women..doesn't matter how many times we said no thank you she still followed us everywhere, then at end escorts you to her family's market.
we had to bargain very hard to get anywhere like a good deal..most of the time when bargaining we were happy not to push too hard as the prices were so cheap.
