I'm planning on a first visit to Bali (Ubud mainly)and maybe Lombok for a fortnight in December. I've heard favourable reports about Hotel Tjampuan in Ubud. Is there much difference between an Agung and a Raja room? Views are a priority with me. The prices I seem to be quoted for an Agung room when packaged with an airfare appear to be about $AUD100 night, including taxes and breakfast. Am I likely to do better dealing with the hotel directly?
I'll be travelling with my mum who is fit but in her seventies so I'd like to maximise scenic vistas and minimise being bombarded by hawkers during our trip. Any suggestions?
