Hi Lara,
I just got back from 5 days in Candi Dasa. Its a quiet little tourist town on the south coast. I don' remember seeing your resort but that doesn't mean it wasn't there. I stayed at some inexpensiv but comfortable bungalows. These went for the equivalent of $10 US a night including continental breakfast. With the value of the Rupiah as it is now you can find some good bargains in Candi Dasa and other parts of Bali. Watch out for very agressive souvenir sales people though. They can be a nuisance. There is only one street in Candi Dasa and it is easily walked from one end to the other. There are many nice restaurants and prices are low for most food and drink. I'm sure you'll love the place if you like peace and quiet and don't want the hustle and bustle of Kuta Beach or similar areas.
