Hi Tina
It is easy to get around Singapore on foot or by the underground transport which is very efficient. You can obtain walking tour brochures for India & Chinatown and the riverfront from the tourist office located in the Raffles Hotel. Not a very romantic way to spend the day, but a good way to see some sights if you are into walking.
