Just yesterday got back from a great honeymoon in Bali. Two recommendations:
1) Banyan Tree near Ubud - Had a great villa with a prvate pool on the side of a river gorge with rice paddies across the other side. A lovely place.
2) The Bali Imperial near Legian (Kuta area) - The service was almost unbeleivably good. The best I have ever experienced. We had a magnificent villa private pool, etc. The staff is unobtrusive and responds to y9ur behavior. For example they noticed that because of jet lag we were turning in early, so they advanced their turndown time, without a word from us. The food is also very good. We indulged ourselves in massages at their spa - two masseuses at once. Check them out
