flights from the east coast are so expensive because they subsidise flights from the West.
This is because airlines wish to encourage as many people from the West to travel because:-
a) They are more refined and better to deal with....and
b) They represent Australia in Bali in the most respectful way....and
c) They have more money to spend than anyone else.
I don't know if this is actually true (about the subsidy...a,b&c are a given)
Now where was that Air Asia web site again??!!!
