it has given me (more) confidence in having jewellery made in Bali.
My Mum passed away last year & I want to have replicas of her engagement & eternity ring made when we go to Bali next month (long story short... 2 diamond rings & 4 daughters means that the youngest 2 of us didn't end up with a ring).
Haven't yet decided on the jeweller - Permata Dewata, Mayang & Ms Pak are the short-list - but I feel more confident that I will get a good job done in Bali for much less than the price in Australia.
Glad to hear that you ended up with what you wanted in the end, despite losing big $$ to the shoddy jeweller in Melbourne :-)
