Flew out with Virgin from Sydney, was quite happy with the flight and service, we were seated at the back of plane which was actually quite convenient being close to toilets, hardly any queues to bother us. Free tea, coffee and water. But no TV so definately take an ipad for kids, this was a lifesaver.
Got VIP through customs, this was fantastic as the queues were crazy and we breezed straight through, will definately do that again. 6th trip for DH and I, 2nd for kids. Stayed at Westin , got deal through mybali.com, it was amazing inc. $1000 food and drinks tab that was no gimmick all lejit and very professional. Enjoyed Hotel and shops at Bali Collection, also had the market close by for nick naks. Found a good massage place at market that was 50% off , so a 1 hr massage was $10 aus!
Went to Waterbom park, this was great for kids especially since the kids water park is finished, food there was great and the massages. Had dinner at beach front of Discovery Mall at Segara, food was nice and cheap cocktails compare to nusa dua. Ate at Dirty Duck at nusa dua (new one opened at The Bay) great food and lovely surroundings near the beach but a little quiet. Also ate at Warung Made in Kuta, found out later we should have tried the famous black rice ice cream! Damn next time.
Had great pampering at Bodyworks in Seminyak, then off to La Lucciola for sunset and dinner, a great night.
We loved the food at the Westin, they have amazing Indian, Italian, Jap, Indo
restaurants so ate there the rest. The surroundings are so nice we didnt want to leave, got very lazy and spoilt. Loved Nusa Dua, but next time I think we will do 1/2 stay in Legian or Seminyak as I miss all the action and cheap massages, food and being close to everything, then do 1/2 in Nusa Dua for the relaxation. Did a 1hr boat trip to show the kids some fish at the front of our hotel, fish were good but i wouldnt do this again felt quite sea sick after 20mins and continued to feel queasy all afternoon! 10 days was good, could have done another few. Flew home Jetstar with VIP lounge which was OK but food was crap, all good no delays or dramas. Jetstar charge for tea, coffee and everything but had TVs for entertainment. One last thing if you need a driver/tour/money changer in nusa dua try Suma at the market, his email is gopal_suma@yahoo.com.
