I don't know what your budget is but we stayed in Ubud for 2 nights
at the Tegal Sari in a super deluxe room and loved it, no tv or radio only peace and quiet overlooking rice fields on both sides. You can upgrade to the top of the range room with spa or checkout their villas, they are to die for!!! .......and all this in the heart of town, we walked to restaurants and monkey forest etc.
PS I am planning another romantic getaway for next Sept and have just looked at The Legian in Seminyak. Looks yummy!!!
