I always reckon that you need a week to get out of home time then you really get to relax. So 2 - 3 weeks is good. More the better!!!. Now I am retired usually 4 weeks at a time,,,,but I know all cannot do that.
Longer you go the cheaper it is ...take out the air fares and is cheaper than home.
