I went with my 6 month old grandson and thought a sling would be just fine. But if not we would hire a stroller. It was soooo hot that the stroller was the the best thing ever!, we hired a 3 wheeler that was able to handle the footpaths with relative ease. However taxis were struggling to get it in the boot. Another great take was a cool chamois type cloth which we could put over bub or he could hold when hot. As far as food goes he was just starting solids so he ate a banana for breakfast and we took the squeeze packs of food in our luggage. He also enjoyed drinking from our water bottles more than his own cup. If using bottles you may want to take some sterilising tablets to soak over night. You can buy good nappies at the supermarkets so no need to take too many. Take Panadol, mozie cream, sunblock, moisturiser from home. We also found that the cots were not as clean as we would like, so taking a sheet and own blanket is advisable. You can hire a lot of baby gear in bali now so I would recommend researching these businesses. We did hire a car seat for our day trips which was also a godsend as little man slept most of the journey to and from. This looks like a lot of info, but you will have a blast with your little one and the locals will take them from you when ever possible. Enjoy your holiday and please email me if you have any questions.
