Buy a backpack carrier like Ergo or Manduca. It will make it so much easier! They are expensive but well worth it. They are quite easy to re sell if you don't use it when you get home :) it seems like they would be hot but mine never complained. Bring your own baby food as it is quite expensive and the range is not so great. Bring your own swimming nappies. Also look on eBay for pram/stroller fan, about $10. It's got foam blades and a big clip to clip on the pram or table at the restaurant.
