Decent quality wine is expensive in Bali. We bought 2 bottles of Margaret River white for $25 from Perth airport when we went in Sept this year. Very nice and although only a little cheaper than what you'd pay in the bottle.shop here, much cheaper than buying in Bali.
I've also.previously taken 'picnic packs' of wine from Howling Wolves winery in WA, packed in our suitcases, and this was not detected. It's an expensive way to buy wine if for consumption here but still cheaper than buying good quality wine there, and of course you still get to buy duty-free spirits as well. I wouldn't do it again though, wasn't worth the worry of being caught & having to negotiate paying a 'fee' to customs officials.
