Beautiful Bali never dissappoints.
From the welcome drink at reception, the bell boy ratling on a word that doesn't make sense, we smile, husband seems to know what he's saying, I love it. I ask husband after he leaves, no he doesn't know what he said.
Ahhh Bali mornings it's so warm and the promise of a breakfast with everything you can think of. It's early and the day is just getting started, very little is open we want a sim card but Johnny on the street is talking about all the billabong he has. Sorry Johnny we ain't going to be interested until we do what we need to first. Once a nice lady fires up our sim card and explains so clearly we have new vigor, Johnny has followed and we happily do good deal. Husband gets upset with Johnny and friends touching him, I tell him to relax and he knows they mean no harm and soon relaxes into Bali mode. We are staying in Kuta, I like it central and I see that not much has changed, yes maybe a few more better pavements but essentially the same. Back at the hotel we are in the pool, oh my goodness it's all I needed I feel the snappy perfect temp water on my skin. It makes me feel like the world is lighter. I think about how happy I am, I think I am the most happiest woman in the world, I think of baby and how blessed I am. I realise I am actually crying but I am swimming and luckily no one can tell, it's just happy tears. Husband has found is old friend bingtang and I can see despite his best intentions he hasn't put enough sunscreen on. Oh Bali I love you.
We walk to poppies restaurant and have a moment with a Bali club sandwich. Why do these taste so good?
We have walked so far there is fluid dripping down our backs. We can't seem to drink enough water and then give up on water and opt for bIngtang/cocktails for sugar energy. We can now walk back to the hotel where the pool is waiting for us. Its like the pool is talking to us as it glistens back at us telling us it truly can solve the worlds problems. And it does, oh goodness it does. Oh Bali your now my Bali.
