Ok this will be as always a bit long winded, so no offence if no one can be bothered, but if friends and family (you know who you are) dont read every word there will be trouble at mill!

Up at 3:30 for a 4:15 taxi. The early flight sounded like a good idea when we booked, but as I was still working at 8pm the night before and then had to pack and sort out the house, it's now looking like a bad idea. The upside we'll be in Bali for lunch. Always focus on the next meal and everything will be good with the world I say.

Our taxi driver turned out to be a local that we see walking past our house every afternoon. (He's quite recognisable with his big bushy moustache.) I had to tip him eh!

Airport uneventful except for trying to get breakfast at Perth airport. Made the mistake of going straight through security/customs. Why don't they have a decent place to eat "airside"? Went to the only choice for a coffee and thought could at least get a muffin, so asked the lady "what are your muffins." "They're muffins" she says with a grin. I stare back with a 'I only got 4 hours sleep' look and said "forget it just the coffee please."

Flying with Garuda for the first time this trip. So far, so happy we got emergency seats. Yeah! So we lounged during the flight, could read a paper comfortably, you know without needing to have your elbows under your chin to do so. Everyone on board seemed very happy and relaxed, or dead tired, not sure which. I didn't realise that Garuda flights have a bar up the back! I stumbled on this when going to the loo. A couple of stewardesses had bottles lined up across the back galley and people were wandering up, getting their order and walking back to their seats with a smile. I'll join in, it may only be 10am, but my theory is that I've been up for nearly 7 hours, so it's really past lunch time.

Only event on the flight worth noting was the lady sitting behind us, with the 'mind of their own' boobs, and this is Mar Missus talking, not me by the way! She did have em 'angin out' and they weren't exactly neat and tidy if you know what I mean and the owner of said boobs did seem to like flinging them around a bit. They were overall quite impressive and I think may well have their own Facebook page.

Through the usual hullaballo that is Bali airport and we're soon checked in and taking off in a taxi to Sea Circus for lunch. It's stinking hot hey. Much hotter and more humid than when we were last here in June, but sitting with a fan blowing on my feet, a binnie in the hand, smelling the whiffs of bad drains, carbon monoxide and humidity that is Bali air and watching the 'security' guy across the road sitting with a big smile and with his whistle in the mouth ready to 'direct traffic' (most people just keep going anyway) it's great to be back.

Speaking of security, when we rocked up at The Royal Beach, security wanted to wave their 'wands' over our bags. Surely these are metal detectors and surely they are turned off as my bag is full of metal stuff.

Pork tacos and Lentil salad at Sea Circus was good as ever and we walk up around the corner and hire a newish but slightly damaged bike for 40,000 per day that turns out to have a very slightly twisted handle bar from being previously dropped which I'm slowly getting used to. I was going to go back and swap it out, but the security guy at Tulip last night was sitting on it when we left and spent a good 10 minutes raving about the latest model Suzuki we were on and how expensive they are. Maybe I'll just keep hold of it...

Tulip for dinner last night was amazing, we'd been here before. It's Turkish and the homemade yoghurt and the Humous are great and the Lamb Shish Kebab just melted in your mouth. Happy days!
