Just some info for anyone contemplating sending furniture back to Australia. I sent approx 2 cubic metres back to Adelaide. The furniture was a great price. Got the freight for $210 cubic metre , no probs. Total cost at this stage was a very reasonable $750 for four pieces , on the ship.
I was told I would need a customs agent to clear customs etc.Final bill for all importation costs , including customs has come out at $768. Needless to say , I wont be doing that again.
