As you can see there's differing opinions on which is better which is not. I prefer to take it in US dollars, hand it over and be done with it. I don't care what the exchange rate for the USD is in Oz before I get them, much of a muchness to me. I just find it easier to hand it over and be gone.
But this always causes many debates, although some don't seem to understand what works better for one person, doesn't necessarily work for another. I have always paid in USD, and that's what I will continue to do.
You will work out which is easiest for you, and you'll probably stick to it.
Have a good trip though, that's the main thing. Eat and drink and be merry while ya over there.
ps. you will also always get someone who insists you search the archives for everything. I can't be bothered with that either. lol. "arrest me".
