Thanks for your replies, and when organised i will follow up on the other forum, thanks for that. Here are the beach school details for street kids details you asked for: Michael and Putu's website is www.ykpa.org how i became aware of this was in bali in January this year returning Made home, looking through a mag in a coffee shop and there was an article about yayasan kasih peduli anak and there were photos of the "street kids" going to school, knowing very well 6 kids in the photos sent off alarm bells for me because 2 pictured are starting at Phrasanti Nylam this July with money i had already collected and banked waiting for the new school year. the other 4 kids mum does not want them going to school and yet they were pictured as attending. It is advertised as non-denominational. The families of these kids aren't real happy and have since then pulled them out for a variety of reasons, one being they thought it was a muslim based school, as some practices like saying grace, etc was alien to the families. I followed up on this and seems from what info Michael info gave me, there are christian overtones. They have since removed some images from the website to get it more up to date which is great. I only researched this because i felt it may mislead people with photos of kids who aren't going there. Michael is doing great work but to me it must be with full parental permission if it is to have integrity, honesty and respect. Just my thoughts. my email is jjohann@shcgeelong.cathoilc.edu.au yes i teach in a catholic school as the address indicates, part time, but tibetan buddhism is the practice i follow, warm regards, jan..
