If you are suggesting to put a cask (even if you could get one) into hand luggage at Aust airport, you are contravening the LAGS legislation, and could be in big trouble.
If you want to take a cask....buy at your local bottle shop and put it into your check in luggage.
If you get pulled up in Bali, negotiate an "on the spot fine".
