The hotel is probably thinking the date for Hari Raya, at the end of Ramadan.
This year, Ramadan starts around 22nd August (depending on sighting of the moon) and goes for 30 days. Hari Raya (for Idul Fitri) will be around September 20 or 21. The week after Idul Fitri is a very busy time for local tourists and traffic is a nightmare.
I am absolutely certain that it ends around September 20/21.
