I am sure you are correct that Qantas does not own Airnorth. Capiteq Limited own Airnorth.

As I recall Qantas ceased DPS-DRW in Sep/Oct 2007 and at the same time Airnorth started the route, codeshared by Qantas. When Jetstar started in December 2008 Airnorth realised that they would struggle to compete, especially as they would presumably lose the Qantas codeshare, so they stopped flying at the end of January 2009.

With a second Embraer they will need to find some new routes and have previously indicated that Manila and KL were under consideration. With the demise of Garuda from Darwin, Bali could back on their agenda. Would be great to keep Jetstar on their toes!
