I have been in contact with above email for our return trip in July.
Personally i didn't like the layout of the KTH,nice rooms but just look like a block of flats to me and all a bit clinical. Not the greatest area either,but close enough to Gong Corner which has to be a plus.
SG is good budget accommodation with a great pool and in a fantastic area.
Don't expect any sort of luxury but its on par with some cheapo hotels i have stayed in through a package.
Ground floor rooms are best around the pool.
This hotel is a "Flashpacker" Type hotel with some backpackers/European travelers and 3-6 week long term guests.
For the price I think its hard to beat.
No pressure to pay,help yourself to beer and pay later etc.
Always plenty of room around the pool on the lounges,and you cant help but strike up friendships with other guests within a day or two.
