If by car/taxi, yes, you would end up going on the beach rd. either from Legian St, or via Poppies 1 travelling west.
If by bike or by foot, you can travel through Jalan Benesari, basically weaving through Poppies 2, and then continuing north.
If by plane or helicopter, you can go pretty much in a straight line.
By boat....good luck!!!
