We are in the oldies age group too. We got a private house. It was great to have the whole house to ourselves and not get disturbed by the younger rowdy crowds you sometimes get at Kuta. We were looked after by a Balinese family. The daughter cooked,it was so good that we looked forward to getting back each night for our meal. The place is a bit out of Kuta but we got driven in every day and picked up just when we wanted. Even paying for a driver it worked out very cheap. We will be staying there again in July.
