Hi
Last year I emailed the Indonesian Consulate regarding duty payable.

In turn they forwarded the email on to someone and they replied stating that duty payable is worked at 370% of the value of the goods. Dont know if this is correct but say you made an invoice up stating that you brought the bottles of wine for $1.99 each duty by law payable would be approx $7.50 per bottle? Even if you had to pay that it still is a hell of alot cheaper to take it into Bali and pay duty... Eg Jacobs Creek Chardonnay is $8 a bottle in Dan Murphys ...in Bali the same wine is $50 a bottle..do your own sums to see if it is worth it (write up dummy invoice stating paid $2 a bottle..hope this helps
