to Amed is Amlapura on the way up there, take what you need. Depending on where you stay, they may change some money for you, but I wouldn't rely on it. We generally pre-pay our accomm up that way so we dont have to worry about taking too much.
You can buy basics at Amed Cafe and perhaps the new mini mart is now open up near old Hotel Indra Udyahana, if you wish to drink spirits at your room, take them too as you can only buy them at restaurants by the glass, not stocked in Amed (or Amlapura last time I looked)
