Perhaps 100rp different between Airport at Bali and exchange in Senggigi. My favorite money changer in Senggigi is the wartel just as you are entering Senggigi. Always a good rate. I've never experienced any funny business with rip-offs in Lombok - that seems to be a specialty for Kuta Bali.
Gary reports a problem with BCA in Mataram but I can say I've banked with that bank for over 4 years, and never had a problem changing money there.
