Ok, as promised.....before I start thanks for the warnings of the colder weather, it was just that air at 7.45am this morning walking to the cab that hurt.
Now, I said I can't write but want to add that we did manage to get a lot of the plan done, this is what the boy remembers (written at the airport last night) so I'll leave it at that as Ive done Bali before, this was his time (and ours). Oh, and I was going to edit out the stuff negative about me but thought I'd be cheating.

What I remember about my trip to Bali with Dad
1. Yesterday was the coolest day of all, we went canoeing inside a volcano and bike riding and I beat dad up the biggest hill.
2. Learning about all the rubbish in Bali and that the people we met are trying to help. My teacher Mr ********* will like the photos I took and when I have Environmental Studies next I am going to write to our government in to see if Australia can help the Bali government. The lady on the bike tour said could organise for some stuff to be sent to school for Environmental studies if Dad emails her for me.
3. Seeing schools and how the kids don't have any playground equipment and they don't have it in their backyards either. Learning how they have to go to school 6 days a week and then work in the fields after school. At least they don't have homework, I told Dad that I get 2 hours homework a night but he didn't believe me as I'm not in high school till next year but I do, I am going to get mum to call him to tell him as soon as we get home.
4. The pool at the second hotel and spending the whole day with dad in the pool throwing a ball and you could swim up to the bar and order a drink and watching DVD's on the big screen over the pool at night.
5. Learning to Surf and watching dad get wiped out 100 times and saying it was cause he had water in his ear so he had no balance
6. Dad making me buy mum some sarongs and some other stuff and a sarong for Aunty **** and him trying to talk to the lady in the shop in Indonesian, he thought he was so funny cause he kept asking her if it was free in Indonesian but I don't think even got the word right, his Indonesian is not as good as he thinks, I know cause one of the Balinese guys at the hotel told me he says it wrong with his Aussie voice, but I wasn't allowed to tell Dad till we left.
7. I didn't like climbing the mountain it was boring at the top and my new Globes got dirty, Dad took heaps of photos of the sunset on my camera as his didn't work well in the bad light cause it was early in the morning, 6am! We had to get up at 3.30am!
8. Snorkeling and using my new underwater Olympus camera. Can't wait to show ****** and the kids at school. Dad bought it for me in a store in Sydney and then we had to take it through in a sealed bag at the airport duty free. I made dad go through straight away so I could open it, it takes movies as well.
9. Rice, I don't want to eat rice every again. I am going to ask mum never to give me rice, I am going to tell her I am a riceatarian now. Balinese eat rice for breakfast, one day I was so hungry cause we stayed at this guys place and I got rice and a boiled egg for breakfast and a cup of tea , I don't drink tea, mum does, Dad was so mean he didn't even believe me when I said I was still hungry, even when my tummy kept rumbling in the car.
10. Banana juice every day, yum
11. Banana pancakes for breakfast nearly every day, yum. Wheat bix are not my favourite anymore.
12. Hiring a motorbike called a Honda Tiger, no guts, the Balinese said it was a fast bike but its only 200cc, they don't know anything as Dad's got a Suzuki GSXR and it flys. Balinese think they know a lot about motorbikes but they all ride scooters, it is soo funny.
13. Dad's driving. A really cool drive on a very very very windy and steep and thin road from Lake Bedugal to Lake Batur, was so much fun, Dad was the best driver and we were in a cool old 4wd called a Jimmy. I navigated and we didn't get lost once even though there are no road signs, the car didn't even have a cd player so we made up stupid words to the Balinese music on the radio and sang really loud through the small towns and people waved at us so we sang louder for them and then they clapped and laughed, even the old men in the rice fields.
14. Learning how to melt down $1 coins and make jewellery, we have metal work at high school next year and dad says I must promise not to try it. Also seeing the guys house and back yard, I wouldn't want to live there. We are very lucky, we even have a trampoline in the backyard.
15. Watching the F1 at a Balinese guys house, they even had playstation, it was only a P1 and they only had a few games, which was not ones I'd buy, but Dad wouldn't let me use it anyway. They had a satellite dish but then their toilet was a squat and their shower was a bucket thing in the corner with a small a bucket and it was cold water, they use the small bucket to pour water over their heads, they don't have a proper shower with a shower head. I think Dad is friends with this man as he likes sport more than fixing up his house just like Dads place. They had concrete floors and their mother swept the dirt outside, not dirt on concrete, actual dirt, she swept it like it was concrete. They had no grass and there was lots of timber and building rubbish in their backyard and they had younger kids than me who didn't wear shoes and they were playing and climbing all over the stuff. Dad would never let me do that cause I'd probably end up with a rusty nail in my foot.
16. The plane, my first time on a plane
17. I didn't like wearing a skirt or going to temples but some of the statues were cool, one looked like the Gargoyle in my Ghost Busters P2 game. I took photos to scare mum.
18. Playing soccer with some kids on the beach, they are really good, one big boy should be playing for Manchester United.
19. Seeing the Balinese man run out of his house when Dad screamed at the TV when the Crows starting thrashing the Swans. That was so funny!
Can't think of anything else
