The beach at Nusa Dua is great, tidal and a big reef. At high tide it is excellent swimming, at low tide it is excellent for reef walking. The Bali Collection shopping centre is worth a look, with lots of stores and restaurants. There is a balloon ride over the area. A beautiful golf course (believe it is expensive). The markets along the main entrance street to the area is good for shopping, with lots of restaurants and bars. There are a couple of good spas. The area is a lot quieter than Kuta, but a 40,000 rp taxi drive away. You can walk along the beach for miles looking at all the hotels, and going in to explore. Along the beach there are massage areas, souvenir sellers and lots of water sports. We are going on an inspection of the Novotel in a few weeks to see if we would like to stay there. Have heard excellent reports, so want to see for ourselves.
