On my first trip to Bali recently I had a white cross on my suitcase when i arrived in Denpasar and my cable ties securing my zips had already been cut open before my case got through to me. Is this the usual practice? I thought they would cut them in your presence so you could see that no one had opened your case. I told the customs officer but she didn't seem to care. I think i'll use padlocks next time.
