If you like a swim up pool bar and a party atmosphere then I'd say Barong.
KP is quieter but the rooms, in my opinion, are way better than Barong. No swim up pool bar which can be an advantage or a disadvantage depending on how you look at it.
Both have plenty of shopping and eateries. It may all come down to your age unless you are a quiet sophisticated youngster or a raging party animal oldie!!
