we walk every where while in bali. Unless we go on a day trip somewhere farther, Ubud, Bedugul etc. We have yet to use a taxi to take us on a short trip on the last 3 visits. We stay in Tuban and walk to Kuta most days. You are on holiday and have plenty of time, we don't even know what the time is most of the time. There are plenty of resturants and shops in Tuban that you can try.
